Giving Tuesday: Power our efforts for bold climate action

For nearly 50 years, CLCV has been on the frontlines of the fight to protect our environment.

Thanks to the Trump Administration, our fight is getting tougher by the day. Every day, we are fighting the Administration’s attacks on our environment including the gutting of clean water standards, selling our public lands to Big Oil and Big Gas, and rolling back over 50 environmental protections that we have fought decades to establish.

What’s worse is that we only have 10 years to act on the climate crisis before it worsens beyond repair. The actions of the Trump Administration and their friends in the fossil fuel industry are shortening the clock.

This year, we were able to pass critical environmental, climate, and public health legislation to protect Californians. It was no small feat, and we couldn’t have done this without our members, allies, donors, and supporters, like you.

Every time we stand up and fight back, it takes resources: people, time, and money. Every fight is fueled and funded by our fearless CLCV members – and that’s what inspires me to keep fighting. That’s why I’m asking for your support again today.

To make sure we are prepared to win, CLCV is launching CLCV’s Climate Action Fund to support our agenda for 2020, including:

• Electing environmental champions in the upcoming 2020 California March primary—leaders who will help us pass a bold policy agenda
• Enacting stronger environmental protections in California
• Making civic participation and voting more accessible
• Fighting off the influence of Big Oil and other corporate polluters in our government
